View Full Version : Hello Nick and Hotaru forums - It has been a while...

One minute it seemed like I had all the time in the world and then summer comes along and the family, work, training, and time off with the kids seem to take over. I missed working on my Hotaru site/s and have not had a chance to tinker with anything online. I miss the Hotaru community (I have learned a ton here) and happy to see HotaruCMS is still growing. I hope to get back into the swing of things :( one day... but just wanted to drop by today and say Hi and wish you the best in the Packt Publishing 2010 Open Source Awards.
Hi Louis, good to see you again! Thanks for dropping by the forums to say hi! I've started a bit of training myself. I'm on the GOMAD (Gallon of Milk a Day) diet so I can bust out of my skinny frame at last! I think I've gained about 4 kilos (of fat!) in just the last couple of weeks. Hooray!
Not sure we'll have much of a look in at those Packt awards, but as long as the CMS keeps growing I'm happy.

Like Louis, I'm just a lurker at HotaruCMS these days. I didn't even have the time to tinker (play?) with 1.4.1 on my site - a son who's about to turn One, and work, work, work. Having been so active on these forums and then suddenly disappearing makes me feel like an outcast when I visit HotaruCMS :o
On the brighter side, I'm just glad to see that the people who answered my questions and who gave ideas when I started out with HotaruCMS are STILL active in the forums. Nick, baadier, louis, shibuya, mabujo, Gunaxin - I miss ties and rushnp though - I wonder where they have disappeared? :(
Hi nothingman, nice to hear from you, too. This is like a reunion, and you've only been gone about a couple of months! :D

Hi to all returning people!
I guess I'll chime in and say hi too! I still stop by and lurk on the "latest" tab often but yes life on my side of the globe is busy too, website, kids back to school, and trying to get back/stay in shape. Hey Nick swap over to a gallon of ice cream a day, squats, bench and dead lift, that should help!

IT over the years has made me, well, gain some weight! Sitting at a desk at work then at home has not been the best thing for me over the yearsÖ I have to lose 35lbs and need to get rid of this belly-fat. Iím not over weight (except for when Iím on the Wii fit) but this belly and waist line has to go.
My kids are getting older and more active now. So I have to keep up with them. Itís going to take some time, this I know, but none-the-less I have to start changing some old habits. The fall/winter season is approaching and this may allow me to tinker again, and have a little more fun online.
