cannot login

I've just discovered your cms and am trying it out. Did installation several times and I've read other thread regarding my problem and have tried all the solutions but to no avail.

Here is what I've done so far:
- clear all cache and cookies about half a dozen times
- reinstalled about 5 times
- deleting htaccess
- messed with hotaru settings a few more times just to get it installed

So i was successful installing the cms and was able to login one day to install all the plugins and so forth. But now when i log in, it keeps giving me this error when I tried to go into the admin area.
The requested URL /user/admin/ was not found on this server.

I'm trying to play with this cms.

Why is your BASEURL "www.hotaru (http://www.hotaru).culinarybuzz.com" ? Surely you should have the site in simply hotaru.culinarybuzz.com. :confused:

Thanks for the reply. I changed the BASEURL to hotaru.culinarybuzz.com and I still can't log in. I am a little confused taht I was able to login the first day to make all the changes and then the next day have these problems.

You probably still have a cookie for www.hotaru... Clear all your hotaru-related cookies, i.e. hotaru_user and hotaru_key.

That was one of the things that I did after changing the BASEURL. I also tried other browsers as well and still no luck. Can you try with the login info provided above?

You've got your .htaccess file redirecting from hotaru.culinarybuzz.com to www.hotaru.culinarybuzz.com. There should be no need to edit the default htaccess file when using Hotaru in a sub-domain.

I didn't make any changes to the htaccess_default file. Can you explain a little more since I am just an amateur in this matter?

Did you rename htaccess_default to exactly ".htaccess" ?
