Translations can be done to the content/admin_language.php and content/main_language.php files. I believe this will be the main places you need to update, but some themes could have these values hard coded.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

hard coded ?
i didnt know that was possible.. so there is no chance of me just entering a css file and editing the site word for word, or downloading a plugin that gives me the opportunity to do so ?
i will see what i can do inside the code
Please read this: http://docs.hotarucms.org/index.php/Customizing_Plugin_Templates . It explains how to customize files, including language files. Just remember to clear the language cache from Admin -> Maintenance after editing your language files.

Thanks nick..
Can i also find a list of all files needed for a translating to be complete in there?
I am close to having the entire hotaru translated to danish in unicode 8, and would love to add it, since i may not be that helpful for the community in many other ways..
