OpenX advertising + Hotaru?

Has anyone set up this combination? Would it be hard to do?

I'm looking for something robust and OpenX is getting good reviews.

I used it for a while and still use it for remnant inventory.
I made a pretty simple widget to show ads managed through my ad server in the sidebar and the rest was coded into the theme.

Maybe if you use their hosted version it might be alright, however the self-hosted version is a massive pain in the arse.
Have a look at their support forums, you will find quite a few pissed off people and little to no responses from the OpenX team.

You should check out Doubleclick for small publishers from Google, it is hosted by Google (= fast) and is free up to a certain amount of impressions.

I use OpenX and like the product for the most part. The support is absolutely horrid tho as Mabujo mentioned. As for using it with Hotaru, its really just a matter of placing the tags in your theme or widget, no big deal.

Thanks, guys - it's nice to have varying viewpoints. I think I'll give it a shot and if it does turn out to be too aggravating, I'll look for something else.
