I've been busily working away on Hotaru CMS and have set a target of releasing a downloadable .zip, the alpha version, on August 1st. As that date approaches, I'm very keen to iron out any bugs.

As some of you have already experienced, there's often a difference between what's working on my computer and what happens when you download Hotaru from the SVN and try to install it!

In order to have a reasonably stable alpha release, I'd really appreciate it if you could find some time to give Hotaru another shot within the next two weeks.

Thanks!

I have some free time tomorrow afternoon, so I'll give this a try on various servers. I can test this on:

Ubuntu 9.04
SUSE 10
RedHat 5 Server
Windows Server 2003
Windows XP Pro SP3

Are there any in particular that I should focus on? Naturally, they should all operate the same but, as we can see with packages like WordPress and Drupal, it's not always the case

Hmmm..., try getting through the installation process without errors :D.

For the record, I've only used it on WAMP so far.

わかりました ;)

I'll give it a thorough thrashing tomorrow and see what breaks. I'm sure it'll be a flawless install, though.
