I thought this Slashdot article would be interesting to some of you guys.. it's about Digg's recent decision to remove the "bury" button, replacing it with a "Report" button for reporting bona fide cases of abuse, not just to bury boring stories. The write-up addresses user abuses of social news in general, and the idea that artificially sending 'vote' traffic to sites is just as bad as the organized efforts of the 'bury brigades.'

Hi cecilreporter,
I think also that bury button can be easily tampered from an organized group of users, that can decide to bury a specific site. However, a report system in Hotaru is it already alive... so... Hotaru is more provident than Digg, from the beginning ;)
