  1. All Plugins Converted. What's Next?

    I've just finished the last of 41 plugins for Hotaru 1.0, so what's next?

    1. Go through my list of known bugs and fix them.
    2. Upload everything to the old demo site and look for server specific bugs, e.g. unwanted backslashes
    3. Respond to bug reports from other Hotaru Team members Never happened
    4. Move the SVN 1.0 branch to the SVN trunk on Sunday 10th
    5. Write a big forum post explaining the changes
    6. Update the documentation

  2. Progress Update 2009-12-14

    As I said in my last blog post, I've started rebuilding Hotaru, so things have been a bit quiet in the forums lately while I work on these changes.

    Right from the start, I've I wanted to make a system that was easy to understand, easy to make themes for, and easy to develop. I wasn't altogether satisfied with the last version (unreleased 0.9), so I started again to make it better before people start using Hotaru for live websites.

  3. Update on RPX plugin progress

    I'm making really good progress with this RPX plugin, and I'm happy that you won't have to get an RPX Plus account to use it.

    RPX Basic: New users get to choose from different providers (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) when they sign up, and they are registered in the database.

    RPX Plus/Pro: New users have a greater choice of providers to choose from when they register and their accounts are mapped with the RPX server.

  4. Progress Update July 5th 2009

    On the visual front, there's little to report, but I've been working hard on cleaning up some of the code, reorganizing files into more logical sections, and fixing bugs as they've come up.

    Two recent additions are a Submit plugin and a Maintenance page.
