Time to Push Forward

Yesterday I got Hotaru 0.7 finished, and I think I can finally say for sure that I'm happy with the core files now, and don't think I'll need to do another complete overhaul like I did for both 0.6 and 0.7. Actually, we'll probably stick with 0.7 and perhaps some 0.7.x releases, and maybe make 0.8 our first beta.
In the meantime, let's push forward with new features.
First of all, before making any new plugins, I'd like to work with the ones we've already got. For example, the Submit plugin doesn't yet have a way to filter posts to the last month, week or 24 hours yet. There's also no way of sorting by votes, either. The Comments plugin doesn't have rating buttons yet, and the Users plugin could be extended with more role/permission options.
I'm also interested in making things easier for theme designers. For example, the "Submit a Story" link gets added to the the navigation bar by the Submit plugin, but what if you want it at the top of the sidebar? I need to find a way to make small things like that more flexible. Documentation is another area I'm keen to expand. The plugin documentation section is pretty good, but there's not much in Usage, Core, or Themes yet.
While I have a few items on my list of things to do, I really need YOU to tell me what to add - especially the small things. We could come up with dozens of wishlist plugins, but what are your immediate needs?
