I was hoping to get Hotaru 1.1.2 out the door today, but got caught up in some bug fixing which threw me off schedule. I did however, manage to get it onto the SVN trunk so if you can't wait one more day, you can get a head start from the SVN.

Before the weekend is over, I have to update a few plugin zips and forum threads, write the "announcement" post and zip Hotaru up for the download forum.

There's also a small bug in another new plugin I've made which I'd like to fix. This one is called "Custom Rankings" and adds user levels and images to the "User Rankings" plugin based on a user's points. Here's how my customized version looks:



Aside from plugins, the biggest new feature in Hotaru 1.1.2 is SMTP email authentication. To cut down on spam, many web hosts are requiring users to authenticate emails sent from their servers so I've built this feature into the latest version:
