I want to get some feedback on this quickly though and keep pushing for a final release tomorrow or the next day.

I have plugins updated also and will release those tomorrow, but hopefully everything should work fine with the core files here.

Please note that the settings.php file is now located in a newly created config folder. This zip includes the settings-default as usual, but you will need to copy/rename that and put your own settings in. If you have an old settings file you are using, then just copy it up to the config folder.

Note also a small change to .htaccess file to improve the http keep alive requests

Note: you may need to clear cookies from your browser if you want to operate on a subdomain. We changed the cookie setting on this last release to fix a problem where there are 2 installations of Hotaru CMS on the same domain

Please note this is not a version for production release and is not beta yet. It is an alpha version which I have been testing on my own server with PHP v.5.4.14 and MySQL v.5.5.3
I have found it stable on my own server, but am still coding and so may not have caught various bugs. If you are going to test this, please do so on a development server.

Having said that, there are no significant changes to the database in this release and I do not expect that the code will do anything adverse to your data, so the worst case scenario is that if your site does not work 100%, then you could reinstall the 1.4.2 version of Hotaru CMS again.

It is a while since I have uploaded files here. There is a good chance I have done it wrong or even uploaded an incorrect file. I hope it works. If not I will review the zip package and try again. Good luck to us all :)

Requirements

Hotaru CMS has been tested using PHP 5.3.2 and MySQL 5.4~

Instructions

1. Download hotaru-1-5-0-alpha2.zip file or hotaru-1-5-0-alpha2-withplugins.zip attached to this post.
3. Read Installing Hotaru or Upgrading Hotaru.
4. Look through Getting Started with Hotaru CMS.

You can download additional plugins from the Plugin Downloads forum and themes from the Theme Downloads forum.

Testing
I would be interested to hear feedback from those who can test so I can work to a full release for everyone. If you discover a problem, I would like to see it on your site so we can fix it quickly.
