Hotaru CMS allows you to select any SMTP server for sending of mails
I use Mandrill for sending mails even though my mail account is with a different host provider. They are the same company that makes MailChimp

There service is free upto I think 12,000 mails a month. The dashboard they provide shows all mails sent, how many got delivered, opened, returned etc etc

This may be a good alternative for those who want to track mails through Hotaru CMS

You can set up the SMTP in the Admin Panel under Settings

Three years ago I tried to use it and had brain freeze. Today, I'm trying again and... nope, I must be really stupid because I just don't get it at all.

Here's what I've got on GitHub:

1. A repository called "testbed".
2. A readme.txt file from three years ago.

On my computer, I've managed to get this far:

1. I've downloaded and installed the "msysgit full installer for Windows".
2. I've made a folder called "git" in C:/wamp/www/ to be my local repository.

What I want to do is simply download "testbed" from GitHub into my local "git" folder. So...

1. In Git Gui, I clicked Remote -> Fetch From, added "testbed" with the GitHub http url and got this:

But no "testbed" folder or "readme.txt" file appears in my local "git" folder. :confused:

So I'm clearly doing something wrong. Can anyone explain it to me like a five-year old? Thanks.
