    Requirements
    Hotaru CMS has been tested using PHP 5.3 and above and MySQL 5.0~

    Instructions
    1. Download latest zip file attached to this post (top right).
    3. Read Installing Hotaru or Upgrading Hotaru.
    4. Look through Getting Started with Hotaru CMS.

    New Installations:
    1. set up a new database and create your settings.php file in the config folder
    2. run the file at /install/index.php in your browser
    3. if you are turning "friendly urls" on make sure you have copied the .htaccess_default file to a new .htaccess file
    When Upgrading from older versions:
    1. make sure you are signed in to your site as admin first so that the plugin hooks can be refreshed on the last step of upgrade.
    2. run the file at /install/index.php in your browser
    If you are upgrading from pre 1.5 versions
    • from older version pre 1.5 copy your hotaru_settings.php file from the root into the new config folder and rename it to just settings.php. You need to do this before you run the upgrade script
