Let's spread a word about Hotaru

I think that everybody here easily agree with me that Hotaru CMS is excellent and that we do hope it will be successful in the future. Moreover many among us gave already many manifestations of support which this system deserves. That is why I propose to pay some more effort and to propagate our positive opinions about Hotaru publicly. There are many websites on the net focused exclusively on reviewing the CMS systems. I think that it is high time to share our positive feelings about Hotaru there. For a good start I have already published my opinion (available here) at the one of the most popular site of this type – opensourceCMS. And you know what - I was the first one there, so floor is yours now…

Nick I strongly hope that you will accept my initiative. In the case of opensourceCMS, up to now Hotaru has only gained three stars (out of five). I think it deserves much more.

Working on it now! I agree, Hotaru deserves a 5/5 rating for the flexibility it offers, as well as the simplicity. Once more expansion of plugins takes place, such as the ability to "plug and play" a social networking site (the way we do with bookmarking), I believe Hotaru will get a lot more recognition. Unfortunately, we compete with more established (and outdated) CMS', so it might be some time until people give up the crap they're used to and take the leap of faith into a really good and stable system such as this one.

Roger, I am soo glad I did not go Pligg route, or it seems I would have been developing on a dying platform and spending tones of time fine tuning design. Even though this community is small, the few plugins made are really so wonderful it feels like a big community is supporting hotaru.

One thing that really made me love wordpress was the active #MIRC community...

C'mon People, what's the matter with you?

Five days passed since my post here and there is no more good reviews (apart of mine) about Hotaru on the php.opensourcecms.com. Moreover during this time only a few votes were cast there on our favorite CMS. I hope that the reason for that is a lack of knowledge. That is why I present here a short instruction for any volunteers ready to help Hotaru to spread a positive opinion about it:

1/ please go here to Hotaru page at the php.opensourcecms.com (please believe me, this is a very influential website focusing on world of CMS systems);

2/ right at the top you can find something like this



To cast very good vote on Hotaru you have to press first star on the right (if you hover over this star all five stars will be lighten up); remember from the certain IP address you can assign only one vote, so do not make a mistake, there won’t be later a chance to change your mind

3/ for all of you who are brave enough there is a place below to post your comment;



Users who are convinced that Hotaru is excellent, please do not hesitate to share your good opinion!

And BINGO, ...I have a great news for you all. Just all of a sudden there also has appeared an additional nice post given by mysterious Fan and what is an additional fantastic information – after 3 hours there was an increase in votes casted (by 5). Thanks to that the overall rate of Hotaru has just raised from 3.1 to 3.2 Have a look:

A now a I have another excellent news from the place where all fans of Hotaru should go to declare that Hotaru deserves 5 stars ! Here it is:



Hotaru has been rised from 3.2 to 3.3 ! because there are 142 votes have already been casted. And have a look, thanks to your determination the fourth star has been enlighten a little bit.

So don't stop supporting Hotaru. Vote and review And if your IP has been used, remember there are a lot of your friends who convinced by you could help us to spread a good word about our CMS.

Nick I'm deeply surprised by your question as I was convinced that you were the person who had registered Hotaru on that website. As far as I know the ordinary user has no possibility to change anything in CMS description there, cause modification must be made by the developer or the person who introduced Hotaru. The only thing I can do for you is to contact the site owner by the e-mail and ask for making corrections. However I think this solution may look strange that the fan of the system has to care about updating an info.

Nick if you are not the person who can make any changes there we have to make an appeal to the author of Hotaru registration at the “OpensourceCMS” – "Hey people keep Hotaru updated please"
