for the community, but will work
with the community to build plugins to provide all the features you need for a social bookmarking site. That means if there's something you want, we encourage you to read through the documentation and try to make it yourself. Empowering users to develop their own themes and plugins is incredibly important for ensuring the long-term success of any open source platform. Relying on a few individuals to provide everything is unrealistic - imagine if the Wordpress developers had to make all the plugins themselves. Impossible!
My personal goal is to make enough plugins to duplicate all the features in JapanSoc.com. That in itself should provide a great start for people switching from SWCMS. If you have custom tables or fields then you'll need to customize the Pligg Importer plugin. I'm happy to help if you get stuck.
