Pligg importer shows Blank page on 1.0.3

This happens on step 1 (categories table import) of the pligg importer plugin. The XML file is uploaded but on clicking Continue, the following page is displayed. It's not exactly a 'blank' page, but nothing happens. I double-checked this on the database and the categories are not imported.

Go to Admin -> Settings and turn on DEBUG mode so we can see any errors, otherwise look in Admin -> Maintenance -> Debug -> error_log.txt

Oh Cool! Turns out one of my categories had an ampersand (Life & Style)
