How to use auto reader to post stories under category

Hi,

Thanks for this great cms. I am just setting this up and would like to know how to use the auto reader to post links under each category. I did create a campaign but this posts the link only on the side bar under "upcoming" or "latest" (it posts the same under both). Basically i am trying post links from autoreader to go under the categories. Please advise me.

If you're look at a category page and not seeing your posts, you probably need to look under the "Latest" or "All" filters.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just realized that and about to edit the post but site was down for ~5 minutes. Also, how to make it appear when you click on the category? The reason being, anything from rss is kind of new so I want to show that directly when you click on a category.

Try changing the "post type" value in Admin -> Plugin Settings -> Bookmarking

thanks. that works fine for home page but when I click on each category I still see empty page and I have to click "latest/all" to see some content. Is there any way we can show "all" when a category is clicked? Also, how many votes required to make a story go to popular section? Any auto voting possible?

You can change where the story is posted to by autoreader by changing the "Type of post to create Published (New) Published (Top) Pending" option in the campaign settings in autoreader.
It can only put stories from a campaign in one of them. I set it to top and remove the links to the upcoming page...

Thanks, I tried this before but then if I click the category, I don't see the news, I ahve to click on the "upcoming" or "latest" to see the posts. Will this work only if I remove the links to upcoming? Please clarify. also, which file to edit these links. I checked bookmarking.php but couldnt find it there.

Hi,

Is there any way to randomly vote for articles and not just the defined number? but stil help me out in removing the upcoming links. I feel both "upcoming" and "latest" means the same. In the side bar, same posts show under both these upcoming and latest. Also same case with 365, 24, 7 days etc.. thanks.

No, sorry, that would be cheating.

You don't have enough content or votes to see the difference. Until you do, you can disable the widgets you don't want to use in Admin -> Plugin Settings -> Widgets.
