    If you want, you can add that to the zip, give the theme a version number and upload in the same Resource link

    And another question every time you upload two folder like _MACOSX & Hotarucms v1.6. why

  12. shibuya246

    shibuya246 Hotaru Developer Staff Member Admin

    It is just because I compress the folder using Mac and it adds the folder

    This is how it looks after copying in from your theme. Is that about right?

    I see you are using Isotope for the columns. That is a good idea
    If you want to change the column widths, you have to work in with their framework

    http://isotope.metafizzy.co/

    From their page

    Code:
    Isotope works on a container element with a group of similar child items.

    <div id="container">
    <div class="item">...</div>
    <div class="item w2">...</div>
    <div class="item">...</div>
    ...
    </div>
    Include the Isotope script in your site.

    <script src="/path/to/isotope.pkgd.min.js"></script>
    CSS
    All sizing of items is handled by your CSS.

    .item { width: 25%; }
    .item.w2 { width: 50%; }

    So in your CSS you need to adjust w2 to be 50%

    but the way your css currently is, that will not work well, so maybe set it to a static 420px

    the idea of isotope is you can lay tiles down dynamically so a percentage is better. you will need to work out your css better to make that happen. Take a look at the Isotope website for that

    Re: categories. Do you want to take the menu item off the top bar and have a horizontal list of category items instead? Is that similar to the default theme?

    A few notes with making new themes.

    You do not have to list folders for all the plugins.
    All you have to do is save your new template for the plugin into the base folder for your theme.
    The new css you want for each plugin goes into the css folder of the theme, and the js goes into the js folder.

    Hotaru will look in these folders first and if it finds a file with the plugins name for css and js and templates then it will use them instead of using the old defaults.

    In this way when you upgrade a plugin or core, you do not lose your themes changes. Also you can send a theme to someone and they can get ALL your changes by turning it on, rather than having to copy all the plugins in different folders and then try to turn them back later when they decide to change.

    I am attaching the zip file here

    Note: you can only alter the
    templates
    css
    jss

    of a plugin or theme

    first you need to put this in your index.php page where you want the categories to appear

    Code:
    <div id="header_end">
                <?php if (!$h->isActive('categories')) echo '<br/>'; ?>
                    <!-- CATEGORIES, ETC -->
                    <?php $h->pluginHook('header_end'); ?>
            </div>

    then you need to style the category_bar and/or category_bar2 templates

    from the admin panel you can go to category and choose which one you want to display

    at the moment you dont have anything showing in those templates

    take a look at the default category templates from the original plugin

    Is this closer to what you wanted?
    http://ipadrank.com/

    you have to take out the

    Code:
    <div id="header_end">
                            <?php if (!$h->isActive('categories')) echo '<br/>'; ?>
                            <!-- CATEGORIES, ETC -->
                            <?php $h->pluginHook('header_end'); ?>
                        </div>

    from the navigation page and put it in the index page instead above id=main

    Its working thanks.

    sidebar?

  19. shibuya246

    shibuya246 Hotaru Developer Staff Member Admin

    Take a look at line 86 in index.php of default template

    Code:
    <div id="main_container" class="col-md-<?php echo $width; ?>">

    bootstrap is set up on a 12 column grid. the default theme allows you to alter the width in the theme settings menu from admin. default is 9 (75%). max is 12 (100%)

    if you make it 9 and then use

    Code:
    <!-- SIDEBAR -->
                <?php if ($h->sidebars) { ?>
                                <div class="col-md-<?php echo $sideBarWidth; ?>">
                                <?php if (!$h->pluginHook('theme_index_sidebar')) { $h->template('sidebar'); } ?>
                                </div>
                            <?php } ?>

    see line 106 same file

    this will give you the sidebar you want
