    It looks good and comprehensive. Do you have this on your site? I notice you have to download the Piwik software and install it on your software as well as setting up a database for it as well. This would be separate to the Hotaru CMS setup and database.

    I can write a plugin that would save the users API Codes and then insert the Piwik Javascript into the footer of any theme. I can also make the Piwiki iframe content appear in the admin page if you want.

    Is this what you had in mind?
    How many people are using Piwiki? What sort of demand do we expect?

    This would be a very good addition.

    Do you have the Javascript that needs to sit in the footer, like this for Google Analytics ?

    Code:
    <script type=\"text/javascript\">

    	var _gaq = _gaq || [];
    	_gaq.push(['_setAccount', '$key']);
    	_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);

    	(function() {
    		var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    		ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
    		var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
    	})();

    </script>";
    Also, do you have a link to you iframe setup of Piwiks so I can test out how it sits in the admin screen?

    Hey Shibuya, Piwik is solid, and yes it requires its own install/database separate from hotarucms.
    The implementation method you have described its ex-actually how it should work.

    Take a look at how this was done in a wordpress plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-piwik/

    Thanks. I dont want to install it on my own server at the moment as I am busy coding other things, but I can release this plugin for Piwik if I can see the actual Javascript code that needs to go in to the footer and a link to your Piwik page so I can test out the iframe for admin page.

    All of the examples I can see dont provide the code to be copied, but only show an image of it. I need the Javascript code that Piwik provide when you have it installed.

    If I have those 2 things then I think I can release the plugin for use

    I have completed this now and am just testing it. I will release it later. How many people actually use Piwik ?

    http://piwik.org/docs/installation/ shows you how to get set up. You have to download the software and install it on your server / create a db exact. Very similar to Hotaru CMS setup. Then you can get the Javascript code and insert that into the Hotaru CMS admin setting for the Piwik plugin along with the url to your Piwik site.

    I set up a subdomain on my site for Piwik and installed it there in a new db. I have it working, but just testing some tab styling for the admin menu so we can show stats and settings on same page without making page too long

    Great, nice going Shibuya,
    I am waiting for the new release of Hotaru CMS, I will install at that time. It looks better than Google analytics and Bing.
