The new alpha version of the polish language pack for Hotaru

Hi everyone,

I?ve just returned from my two weeks abroad voyage and as I promised before I've immediately started my efforts to improve the polish translation files for Hotaru. To my horrible surprise I have discovered two critical bugs which make these files very hard for quick and proper implementation. Sorry for that, but I warned you that the first "bunch" of files are on premature level only and could contain some rubbish. Of course I have fixed that bugs and also properly encoded all the rest of the language files (into utf8), which makes the whole ?stuff? ready for final, editorial testing and tuning.

For now I?m publishing the alpha version of the Polish language files for Hotaru CMS. You can expect the final release soon, as I?m going to work on them as quickly as possible now.

So, this is all for now. Enjoy the alpha version, which according to my experience works perfectly.

The beta version of the polish language pack for Hotaru has just landed

Today I?m publishing a beta version of the Polish translation pack. It contains the following, improved files:

activity_language.php
admin_language.php
bookmarking_language.php

post_manager_language.php
post_rss_language.php
posts_widget_language.php

widgets_language.php

To use them, please remember to put two of them:

admin_language.php
main_language.php

into the /hotaru/content to replace their English version. The rest of them should be implemented into content/themes/YOUR_THEME/languages/. All of them are encoded into utf8.

Now attention please ? there is a need to manually change the comments.php file located in /hotaru/content/plugins/comments. After line 999 should be implemented a short piece of code:

$subject = "=?UTF-8?B?".base64_encode($subject)."?=";

This is necessary to avoid a subject mail encoding problem which appears whenever a user post a comment in hotaru. In such a case a notifying mail is automatically sent. The content of the mail looks great, everything inside is properly translated into Polish but the subject of the mail is still full of errors as every specific font of the Polish language is badly displayed. To avoid this please update the file manually or download and use ready for a change comments.php file attached to this post. I?ve already informed Nick about this solution. If it pass some testing it will probably be implemented in the next release of Hotaru.

This version of translation looks fine, but to call it final, it needs to be used ?in a production? on a site, which I hope will happen soon in my case.
